French Chalet Apartment in the Grand Massif

“Great Christmas in Les Carroz”
We spent Christmas 2014 in the apartment and although we had to search for snow ( we skied in Flaine and Avoriaz) until the day of our departure the home comforts in the apartment made up for that. We played tennis, (thank you for the tennis equipment) watched DVDs (so many to choose from), our 15 yr old son was thoroughly impressed with the satellite TV and of course the WIFI. The close proximity to the Leisure Centre was also a plus, the swimming pool is lovely and the gym has great equipment. The little home comforts in the apartment make such a difference and rather than being in a hotel complex the stay made us feel we were holidaying in a friends apartment. We would definitely like to come back. Allison, Faringdon, UK, Dec 2014

“Cosy apartment in charming village”
We enjoyed our stay here during a very quiet time in the village. The apartment is cosy and well equipped, and the addition of wifi allowed us to plan each day's trip online. It was good to have TV and there's a great selection of DVDs - good for when you want to relax. The village is charming, with a great leisure centre near the apartment (it was closed when we were there but is open the rest of the year). The village centre is a 15 min stroll - we visited the boulangerie every morning for breakfast provisions. there are lots of supermarkets nearby and plenty of good options for days out (we visited Samoens, Annecy and Chamonix). Thanks are due to the helpful owners who were exemplary in their communication! Glasgow, UK, May 2014

This was our second stay in the apartment and once again we were not disappointed. Just like a home from home with everything you need to get up and running as soon as you arrive. There are a number of Mimi-marts close by and a larger supermarket conveniently situated as you pull off the motorway and start your climb to the village. The free buss with handy boarding just one minute from the front door will take you right to the ski lift every 10 minutes - and you don't need to be a skier to use it. The resort has every modern facility - including an outside heated pool - awesome when the snow is falling and even a skating rink for the kids. The apartment is well furnished and well suited for an extended family or family and friends. This apartment is a gem for any fun loving family that likes to ski in winter or just relax and enjoy the mountains in summer. Highly recommended. Robert, Gloucester, UK, Feb 2014

“A fabulous family winter ski holiday.” Our second visit to the apartment for a family ski holiday. The apartment is well situated with a free bus around the village and to the ski lifts every 15 minutes. Apartment facilities more than adequate for a family of six and the UK TV was a nice unexpected bonus as was the Wifi. In addition to skiing, Les Carroz has great facilities, the new outdoor swimming pool and spa is amazing to take away the aches and pains from a day on the slopes! An outdoor ice rink for the children and adults alike was very popular. Bob, California, USA, Feb 2014

"Hard to beat” The apartment is ideally situated only half a minutes walk from the regular free ski bus. This is my 7th stay and it is hard to beat in terms of location and comfort for a small family. The ski area is extensive with easy links to Samoens, Morillon and Flaine with slopes to cater for all levels of skier. Les Carroz is a l lively village with bars and restaurants and is within 10 minutes walk and an upgraded leisure centre is within easy reach of the apartment. With geneva less than an hour away this resort and apartment take some beating. Nigel, Nottingham, UK. Jan 2014

“Great Resort and lovely apartment” Easy access to the slopes via the ski bus, which is only 50 yards walk away. Lovely resort with good links into Flaine and other smaller resorts. The apartment is a good size for 4 - and well equipped with Wi-Fi and English satellite TV. It feels very homely and has nice views across the village from the balcony. We've been twice and will definitely be heading back. Jemma ,Harpenden, UK, Jan 2014

I am pleased to say that we have a very enjoyable week. The weather on arrival was grey but very quickly improved and we had an excellent week. The girls managed to swim every day, either in the pool or when we visited lakes at Annecy and Passy. We used the WiFi, a plus for us as we all took our Kindles and Nook's . Paul even skyped his parents one day as they remember the area fondly having spent a week with us there three years ago. The new spa was a real plus that Sarah and I enjoyed.Thank you once again. We do enjoy visiting Les Carroz and the surrounding area. Johnson Family August 2013

A lovely week in Les Carroz We’ve stayed in the village in other MGM apartments and the location of Mike and Catherine’s is superb – lovely and quiet, great views. Very well equipped, we lunched out every day and ate in at night relaxing in the warm. We were fortunate to arrive when there was plenty of snow and had mainly blue skies – all of the lifts and ski-runs were open and we particularly enjoyed our favourite, La Foriestiere back down to the village. We’ll definitely be back again. Humphries Family, Surrey. Feb Half-Term 2013.

How lovely it was to see Les Carroz again but this time in the winter with all the fresh snow around, and everybody is so friendly and welcoming. With a great variety of different runs being available we enjoyed some awesome skiing conditions in the spectacular surroundings of Le Grand Massif . The well equipped apartment was a lovely warm and cosy welcome to come back to at the end of each day. Its ideal location meant it is close enough to walk into the village or just hop on the free ski bus that stops at the end of the road - longest wait we ever had for this was only 4 mins. There is still some of the ski area we did not have time to explore, but that will have to await until our next visit ! The Overal Family, Gloucester. Jan 2013.

"A lovely well equipped apartment, Cosy and alpine feel and beautiful views. The apartment was to a high standard and better equipped than many other holiday places we have stayed in. Ideal position for all our walking and exploring of the local area - so very glad we have it already booked in January 2013 for a family skiing holiday." Nigel & Marion. Gloucester July 2012

"We have just returned from our 5th consecutive winter ski holiday in Les Carroz, staying in Mike and Catherine's MGM chalet apartment. As always, the chalet apartment is a home from home and fits our needs perfectly for an enjoyable family skiing holiday. We hope to return again next year!" Lycett Family, Bridgewater, Somerset.Mar 2012.

"I have lost count how many times we have stayed at this fabulous location, but once more it has came upto our expectations. As we drove South through France we wondered if it had become a "little tired" with use since we last visited. We found that it was just like it used to be, warm and cossy with everything that you would need for a break in the Alps. Once again Les Carroz stole our hearts. (We even considered staying and seeing what the squatting laws were like in France!) So if you are thinking of booking then dont' hesitate it's worth every penny. We had great weather and stacks of snow which we understand is not always going to happen in the mountains. However we noticed that the resort had made some masive changes to make sure you could carry on ski-ing, all the way to the back down to the village. Checkout "Marlows" which seems to be the Hub of the Les Carroz wheel a great Bar/cafe that caters for families as well as they do adults. Also check out some fine dining at Hotel Les Servages D'armelle. You will not be sorry. Also we did some Cross country ski-ing at Agy about 25 mins away. There is a restuant there "La M'agy du plateau" which serves fabulous food at less than resort prices. It seemed to be packed by locals. As they say Location Location Location, great ski-ing great accomadation. I get a feeling we shall be going back again." Simon McCarthy, Nottingham. UK. Mar 2012.

We had a fantastic summer break (August 2011) . The location was beautiful and the apartment a real home from home. Les Carroz is absolutely charming and provides plenty to do from paragliding, tennis, swimming (for the more energetic) to just sitting outisde a cafe watching the world go by (for the more relaxed) - perfect! The extensive DVD collection and English satellite channels were much appreciated by two teenage girls! It really has everything you need for a great family holiday. Thank you Catherine and Mike. Debbie, Dave, Katie and Abi. Gloucester August 2011

Great apartment furnished to a high standard and includes everything needed for a super holiday. The UK TV freeview package and DVDs are a definite bonus on a wet day. John and Carol Turner, Congleton. Cheshire. UK. Aug 2011.

My family and I stayed at this apartment for a week in July 2011. To put it simply this was an amazing holiday, in an amazing location. Their were many facilities and amenities near by for all ages. I have three sons 16,13 and 8 and all had a great time. There are so many things to do and explore and the apartment is the ideal location as a base for all. The apartment has everything that a family needs for a great stay. I would definitely stay again. Devlin Family, Craigavon. NI. July 2011.

Catherine, we have had another great stay in Les Carroz, a very pretty place we think and complimented by your superbly appointed apartment. Depending on our circumstances I fully expect we will be making a further booking soon. Nigel and Debbie Scott, East Bridgford. UK, Mar/Apr 2011 - 4th stay.

Hi Catherine, found the directions you sent were fine and easy to follow. The apartment was clean, tidy, warm and cosy just as the pictures on the website showed. Good location in easy reach of village centre and close to bus stop. We would recommend your apartment to friends, relatives and to use it again in the future. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your apartment that’s why we have stayed there for our family skiing holiday the past 2 years. The apartment is great, with all amenities close by and a large ski area to explore. The village is family friendly and very traditional. Gittins Family March 2011.

We have just returned from a fantastic week in Lez Carroz. The apartment was excellent, clean and well equipped and a very short walk from the free ski bus that took us to the slopes every day. Skiing was great, varied and suitable for all abilities. I would definitely return to ski at Les Carroz Roger Jorden, Gloucester. Jan 2011.

Catherine, many thanks for a fabulous holiday in your lovely apartment, which was even better than the web site description - especially the view from the balcony. The chalet was probably one of the nicest we have stayed in for a long time. Les Carroz was the perfect base for hiking and we enjoyed using the outdoor swimming pool which was just few minutes walk away. We were also lucky enough to see the fireworks and open air concerts in the village. We would recommend Les Carroz for a summer destination. Janet & David Gill, Bourne, Lincs. July 2010.
